The bioscope, built in 1920 and used as a cinema until 1930, is one of the original buildings established to serve the employees of the historic Searle factories.
This project is rooted in a deep love for our town, its people, and its history. Restoring the old bioscope is more than just bringing a building back to life — it’s about creating a space where the community can gather, celebrate, worship, and grow together. We believe in honouring the past while making room for meaningful moments in the present. This place is dear to us because it holds memories, stories, and now, the promise of new beginnings.
Follow our restoration journey as we breathe new life into this beloved space!
What a wonderful tribute to the past—bringing this beautiful old building back to life and making it a space for the community once again. It’s a real gem for Groot Brakrivier, and so special to see the spirit of this little village being revived.
